Where Does MiXplorer Store Backups and Skins?

MiXplorer exports bookmarks, skins, and full settings as .MIC files to SD root for one tap import.

Last updated

MiXplorer backs up in four flavors: bookmarks, all skins, single skins, and everything. Exports land as .MIC files at the root of internal storage by default, ready to tap for import on any install.

The full settings export already contains bookmarks and skins, but keep separate copies anyway. A single purpose import fixes one thing without overwriting the rest. Bookmarks to clouds and servers travel inside the same files, credentials included, so treat exports accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move MiXplorer to a new phone?

Export all settings to a .MIC file on the old phone, copy it over, and tap it in MiXplorer to import. Bookmarks, skins, servers, and prefs restore together. Re-grant storage and root access afterwards.

Do MiXplorer backups include cloud passwords?

Yes, bookmarks carry their stored credentials, which is why one tap restores servers fully. Guard .MIC files like passwords and avoid leaving them in shared folders.
