Where Is the MOC Config File?

MOC music on console config file under ~/.moc on Linux with themes and keybinds.

Last updated

MOC reads server and interface settings from a config file in its home dot directory, with themes and keybinds alongside. Playlists save as .m3u files you keep anywhere.

The server keeps playing after the interface detaches, which is the whole point of MOC. Copy the config and every headless jukebox behaves identically.

Where MOC stores this, by platform

Linux
~/.moc/config

Main settings with themes and keymap files next door. The example config in /usr/share/doc shows every option commented. Copy the .moc folder to migrate settings; playlists travel separately.
