Where Does Monopoly GO Store Save Data and Dice?
Albums, dice and boards stay on Scopely servers, tied to your Facebook or Monopoly GO account. The device keeps cache and login tokens.

Monopoly GO plays like a board game sitting on your phone, but nothing you care about is actually on the phone. Sticker albums, dice, Monopoly money and board progress all live on Scopely servers, tied to the account you signed in with. That is either Facebook or a Monopoly GO account created in the game, and the same login is what the web-based Tycoon Club uses on a browser.
The local side is modest: cached board art, event banners, audio and the tokens that keep you signed in. Guests are the usual weak spot. Play without signing in and the whole empire exists as one install, so a factory reset or a new phone starts you over. Moving devices is otherwise painless. Install the game, sign in with the same account, and your dice count and albums follow.
Where Monopoly GO! stores this, by platform
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.scopely.monopolygo
Cache for boards, stickers and events, plus sign-in state. Hidden from file managers on Android 11 and later. Clearing it signs you out without touching progress on Scopely servers.
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
A per-install container with a GUID that changes on every reinstall. Not reachable without a jailbreak. Full backups copy it, but the account login is what restores your albums.
Frequently asked questions
How do I transfer Monopoly GO progress to a new phone?
Install the game and sign in with the same Facebook or Monopoly GO account you used before. Dice, stickers, boards and money all return from the servers. If you start fresh and skip the sign-in, the new guest account plays separately from your old one.
Will uninstalling Monopoly GO lose my sticker albums?
Only if you never signed in. With a Facebook or Monopoly GO login in place, the albums are server data and a reinstall brings everything back. Guest progress goes away with the app, and support cannot usually rebuild it.
Why does the Monopoly GO folder keep growing?
Every event and board brings new art and audio into the cache, and the folder can pass a gigabyte over time. Clearing the cache or reinstalling trims it back with no effect on progress, as long as your account login is connected.
