Where Does NekoTrak Store Its Data?
NekoTrak keeps config.json and a cloud snapshot in Roaming\NekoTrak\users\<SteamID>, separate for each Steam account.
Last updated
NekoTrak stores its data in %APPDATA%\NekoTrak\users\<SteamID64>, not in LocalAppData. Each Steam account gets its own subfolder, with config.json for settings and a cloud directory holding cloud-snapshot.db. The app tracks app and website time, so that folder is where the local record of your sessions lives.
The Roaming location matters on Windows: it is the folder meant for settings that follow a roaming profile, and it is separate from the cache in Local. Steam Cloud is listed on the store page. If the desktop cat resets or the tracker loses its history, check this folder before reinstalling.
Where NekoTrak stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\NekoTrak\users\<SteamID64>
config.json holds settings, and the cloud subfolder holds cloud-snapshot.db. The folder is per Steam account, so switching accounts switches data.
Frequently asked questions
Where does NekoTrak store its data on Windows?
In %APPDATA%\NekoTrak\users\<SteamID64>. That is the Roaming AppData folder, not LocalAppData, and the last segment is your 64-bit Steam ID. Paste the path into Explorer's address bar to open it.
Why is the data in Roaming instead of Local?
Roaming is the Windows folder meant for settings that can follow a user between machines. NekoTrak puts config.json and the cloud snapshot there, while temporary cache stays elsewhere.
Does NekoTrak sync my tracked time?
Steam Cloud is listed for the app, and cloud-snapshot.db sits inside the per-account folder. Whether every tracked minute syncs depends on the app's own upload, so keep a copy if the history matters.
Can I reset NekoTrak without touching other accounts?
Close the app, rename or remove only your users\<SteamID64> folder, and start it again. That clears the config and local history for that Steam account without touching other accounts.
