Where Are Neva Save Files Located?

Neva save folder on Windows, Mac and Linux, how the single Save01 slot works, and what to copy when switching machines.

Last updated

Neva keeps things minimal: one save slot called Save01 inside a nomada studio folder in LocalLow. There is a single story with no branching slots to manage, so the whole save is that one directory.

Configuration sits inside the same folder as a Config file next to the progress data. Copy the parent Neva folder and both travel together. The developer confirmed the paths differ per platform, so use the platform entry below rather than assuming symmetry.

Where Neva stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\nomada studio\Neva

Save01 inside holds the run and its Config file. Note the lowercase studio name, which matters when typing the path by hand.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2420660/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/nomada studio/Neva

Proton prefix for Steam Deck and Linux desktops, app ID 2420660. Copy the Neva folder across and the Save01 slot comes with it.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/com.Company.ProductName

Mac builds file saves under this Unity-default container rather than a Nomada folder. Exact path may vary by build, check Application Support if this does not match.

Frequently asked questions

How many save slots does Neva have?

One. Everything lives in the Save01 folder, so starting fresh overwrites it. Back up the Neva folder first if the run matters to you.

Does Neva support Steam Cloud?

Yes. Cloud sync covers the save, but the single-slot design means a sync from a fresh install can replace a finished run, so keep a manual copy.
