Where Does Outplayed Save Recordings?

Outplayed saves clips to Videos\Overwolf\Outplayed by default. Never move files by hand, it disconnects them from the app.

Last updated

Outplayed tracks every clip in its own index, so the files belong to the app in practice. The default Media folder sits under your Videos library. Change it in settings and the app migrates its references.

Moving files in Explorer breaks that index. Clips vanish from the app even though the files still exist. Keep the folder on the C drive too, since external drives that disconnect take the index down with them.

Where Outplayed stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\Videos\Overwolf\Outplayed

Default Media folder. Created after the first recording. Change only through Outplayed settings, then Storage.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Outplayed clips to another drive?

Open Outplayed settings, then Storage, and set a new Media folder. Back up recordings first through the app guide, then restore into the new folder. Manual moves corrupt the link.

Where is one specific Outplayed clip?

Open the clip in Outplayed and click Open Folder. That jumps to the exact file even if you changed the Media folder after recording.

Outplayed stopped recording. What ran out?

Free space or switch the Media folder in settings. Recording halts under roughly 200 MB free on the storage drive and shows a low space error.
