Paranormasight keeps progress in a single save file nested under a numeric Steam ID folder. The Documents tree holds a game folder, then a Steam folder, then one directory per account. One file per account is the whole story.
There is no native Mac or Linux port, so Deck and Proton builds mirror the Windows tree inside their prefixes. The uppercase game folder name breaks case sensitive searches that guess lowercase. Copy the ID folder whole rather than the loose file. Story chart progress packs into that one file with no sidecars at all.
