Where Does Patch My PC Store Logs?

Patch My PC log locations on Windows, from Publisher logs to client logs in ProgramData and CCM folders.

Last updated

Patch My PC splits logs between server and client. The Publisher writes PatchMyPC.log inside its Publishing Service install folder, by default under Program Files. Newer builds use a Logs subfolder there. Settings.xml sits beside it and matters for backup and restore.

Clients log elsewhere. Routine operations go to C:/ProgramData/PatchMyPC/Logs/Client.log. The installer msi log lands in Windows Temp. ConfigMgr boxes may also carry copies under Windows CCM Logs, so check there if a file looks missing. Include rolled over .lo_ files when sending bundles to support. They hold the history the live log already rotated out.

Where Patch My PC stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Program Files\Patch My PC\Patch My PC Publishing Service\Logs

Publisher logs live in the install folder, by default Program Files/Patch My PC/Patch My PC Publishing Service. Client.log is in ProgramData/PatchMyPC/Logs. CCM/Logs holds copies on ConfigMgr machines.
