Where Are Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Saves Located?

Where Wrath of the Righteous keeps crusade saves under Owlcat in LocalLow, and the cloud delete loop to avoid.

Last updated

Wrath of the Righteous stores saves in an Owlcat Games folder under AppData\LocalLow, inside Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous\Saved Games. Crusade progress, army state and settings-adjacent files share the tree, so the folder is the whole backup.

Saves are small (single megabytes), which makes the GOG cloud full warnings feel absurd until you learn the cause: hundreds of autosaves accumulate because nothing prunes them. Clean old campaigns from the in game load screen periodically instead of hoarding every tavern rest.

Where Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous\Saved Games

Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous\Saved Games into Explorer. GOG and Steam use the same path. Delete unwanted saves in game so cloud sync follows along.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1184370/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Owlcat Games/Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous/Saved Games

Proton path for app ID 1184370. Search under compatdata/1184370 for the Owlcat Games folder if your Steam root differs.

Frequently asked questions

I deleted saves but they keep coming back. Why?

Delete them from inside the game, not Explorer. The cloud sync treats hand deletions as damage and re downloads the files, looping forever. In game deletion propagates to the cloud; Explorer deletion fights it.

How do I move my crusade to a new PC?

Copy the Saved Games folder with the game closed, ideally pausing cloud sync first. GOG and Steam builds share the same LocalLow path, which makes cross store moves a plain copy. Keep the backup until the new machine loads the campaign.
