Where Does Peek Store Settings?

Peek keeps a small INI in ~/.config/peek with output going to ~/Videos or a chosen folder.

Last updated

Peek records GIFs and WebM clips with configuration in one INI file under the XDG config home. Output folder, framerate and format choices all sit there.

Recordings never land in the config tree. They go to Videos or the custom folder from settings, so config backup and video backup are separate tasks.

Where Peek stores this, by platform

Linux
~/.config/peek/peek.ini

All preferences including output path and format. Recordings default to ~/Videos. Delete the INI with Peek closed to restore defaults.
