Where Does Persepolis Store Config and Downloads?
Persepolis keeps config per OS with downloads defaulting to a Persepolis folder. Paths and aria2 split.
Last updated
Persepolis separates its own settings from aria2 plumbing. Config folders follow each OS convention with queue state, settings and a temp staging folder inside. Default downloads land in a Persepolis folder under home Downloads, changeable per queue.
Temp files stage in a dedicated tmp folder before moving to finals, so interrupted batches leave residue there rather than corruption. Raw aria2 configs stay separate; Persepolis manages its own copy. Clearing state from the app wipes queues cleanly without touching finished files.
Where Persepolis stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\persepolis_download_manager
Settings, queues and persepolis_tmp staging inside. Finished files default to Downloads\Persepolis. Distinct from raw aria2c config and from Motrix paths. Clear queues from the app rather than deleting blindly.
~/Library/Application Support/persepolis_download_manager
Same interior layout as Windows. Downloads default to ~/Downloads/Persepolis. Temp staging moves to finals on completion; leftovers there mark interrupted runs.
~/.config/persepolis_download_manager
Same layout under XDG config home with persepolis_tmp staging inside. Launch with --clear to wipe state from the command line. Finished downloads default to ~/Downloads/Persepolis.
Frequently asked questions
Where do Persepolis downloads go?
To Downloads/Persepolis by default on every OS, adjustable per download or queue. Temp pieces stage in persepolis_tmp until completion. Finished files never sit in the config folder itself.
How do I reset Persepolis queues?
Clear from inside the app or delete the config folder with it closed; Linux also accepts the clear flag. Finished downloads survive either way. Restart rebuilds defaults on next launch.
Is Persepolis config the same as aria2 config?
No. Persepolis drives aria2 underneath but keeps its own settings tree. Raw aria2c files live elsewhere and follow their own format. Edit inside Persepolis so the GUI and backend agree.
