Where Does PhotoRoom Save Designs?

PhotoRoom saves finished cutouts to the gallery while project drafts stay in app storage.

Last updated

PhotoRoom exports land in the gallery as finished images with transparent or studio backgrounds. That exported file behaves like any photo and needs no further thought.

Project drafts stay inside the app in private storage. Reinstalling restores Pro features through the store account but never the drafts. Export the design, confirm it sits in the roll, then clear the app without worry.

Where PhotoRoom stores this, by platform

Android
Gallery / DCIM (saved designs)

Finished cutouts save here as regular images. Drafts live in app-private storage; confirm each keeper in the gallery before clearing data.

iOS
Photos app (saved designs)

Same behavior: exports to Photos, drafts in-app only. Store-account Pro status restores; drafts never do.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose my designs if I reinstall?

The exported cutout in the gallery is safe. Project drafts and unexported variations die with the app, so export each keeper before wiping.
