Roblox Studio keeps places, autosaves and plugins apart from the player client. Local .rbxl files save wherever you put them. Autosaves and plugins live in Studio folders under Documents and AppData.
The player side holds logs and auto recovery saves covered elsewhere. For building, the Studio folders below matter. Publish regularly so the cloud place stays ahead of local experiments.
