Brian and Gina's road trip saves in all caps SAVEGAME inside the game's own install directory. The 2001 vintage means no user folders, no cloud, no apologies.
Program Files installs without elevation redirect writes to VirtualStore. Check both spots if the desert looks unfamiliar after a session.
Where Runaway: A Road Adventure stores this, by platform
<SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\RUNAWAY - A road adventure\SAVEGAME
Inside the install folder starting from your Steam library root, with SAVEGAME in capitals. Without admin rights Windows may redirect to VirtualStore. Steam Cloud syncs the tree.
