Where Does Shadowrocket Store Servers and Rules?
Shadowrocket keeps servers and rules on-device with optional iCloud sync, and no account of its own.
Last updated
Shadowrocket stores everything locally. Server lists, rule configs, and module settings sit in the app sandbox. iCloud sync optionally mirrors them across your own devices.
That design has one sharp edge. No account means no server-side recovery ever. Rule subscriptions refresh from URLs, but personal edits need exports. Treat the export file as the real backup.

/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
Sandboxed container for servers, rules, and modules. iCloud sync mirrors across your devices. Export configs before deleting the app.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Shadowrocket to a new iPhone?
Enable iCloud sync before switching, or export configs to files. Deleting the app wipes unbacked-up setups permanently. Reinstalls restore only what iCloud or exports hold.
Does Shadowrocket have an account?
No. There is no developer account system at all. iCloud sync runs on your Apple ID with on-device files beneath it. Subscription URLs refresh rule lists from their publishers.
