Frictional uses one layout on all three desktop systems. Saves sit in a SOMA folder inside Documents or its platform equivalent, sorted into a Main directory with per account subfolders.
Steam Cloud keeps a parallel copy under app ID 282140, which rescues reinstalls when it syncs the right direction. The forum classic is the Default folder holding saves while the account folder sits empty: copying between the two resolves it, and starting a new game generates the missing folders first.
