Where Are Splinter Cell: Blacklist Save Files Located?

Blacklist saves through Ubisoft Connect IDs while settings live in a Documents folder named Blacklist.

Last updated

Splinter Cell: Blacklist splits saves from settings across two Ubisoft conventions. Progress lives in numbered folders inside the Ubisoft Connect savegames directory, keyed by your account ID.

Graphics and input settings sit apart in a Documents folder named Blacklist. The numbered save folders are the confusing part: online and offline modes historically used different numbers, so a save that vanishes usually just sits in the sibling folder. Match timestamps before assuming anything is lost.

Where Splinter Cell: Blacklist stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[UserID]\91

Progress keyed by Ubisoft account ID (folders 91 and 449 historically). If offline saves vanish, copy the newest sc6_save.sav files between these folders.

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Ubisoft\Blacklist

Graphics and input settings (videoSettings.ini). Framerate, refresh rate, and DirectX version tweaks live here as plain text.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/235600/pfx/

Proton prefix for the Windows build (AppID 235600). Both the savegames tree and the Documents settings appear inside the prefix.

Frequently asked questions

My offline saves stopped loading. How do I recover them?

Copy the newest sc6_save.sav files from folder 91 into folder 449. The offline client looks in 449, and this exact move is the documented community fix.
