Where Does Stellio Store Settings and Backups?
Stellio writes automatic backups to your Downloads folder. Disable it there if restore prompts loop.
Last updated
Stellio keeps its library, themes, and equalizer in app-private storage and offers automatic backup into the Downloads folder. That backup is what triggers the notorious restore prompt on every launch when a stale copy lingers.
If the app nags about restoring on start, delete the old backup from Downloads and switch automatic backup off in settings. Music files themselves live wherever you keep them and Stellio only indexes them, so library recovery is rescanning, not restoring.

Downloads folder (automatic backup) + app-private settings
Auto backup writes here when enabled. A leftover file causes repeated restore prompts, so delete it and disable the toggle to stop the loop. Themes and sound settings restore from the backup when valid.
Frequently asked questions
Stellio asks to restore a backup on every launch. How do I stop it?
Delete the stale backup file from Downloads and turn automatic backup off in settings. The prompt comes from the leftover file, not corruption. Re-enable backup afterwards for a fresh baseline.
How do I move Stellio to a new phone?
Copy your music files over, install Stellio, and let it rescan the library. Restore settings from a valid backup file if you kept one. Playlists rebuild from the files, so keep the folder structure similar.
