Where Are Sudachi Save Files Located?

Sudachi Switch saves inside its nand folder per game Title ID, in the Yuzu inherited layout.

Last updated

Sudachi continues the Yuzu design, storing Switch saves the way a real console does inside a virtual NAND. Each game's saves sit in a Title ID subfolder under a numeric profile folder whose number carries no meaning worth decoding.

Skip the tree walk when possible. Right click a game in the library and open its save location directly, which lands on that game's folder without Title ID detective work. Portable installs keep the same nand tree next to the emulator executable rather than in app data.

Where Sudachi stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\sudachi\nand\user\save

Paste into the Run dialog or Explorer bar. Each game gets a Title ID folder under a numeric profile folder. Portable mode keeps the nand tree beside the exe instead.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/sudachi/nand/user/save

Open it with Finder Go to Folder. Same Title ID and profile nesting as Windows, since the layout is platform agnostic by design.

Linux
~/.local/share/sudachi/nand/user/save

Follows the XDG data directory. Sandbox packaged installs relocate the tree under their sandbox instead of the plain path.

Frequently asked questions

how do i back up my sudachi saves

Copy the Title ID folders for your games out of the save directory. Restoring means dropping them back into nand/user/save on the new install, where the games pick them up by ID with no import step.

why did my saves vanish after reinstalling

Fresh installs create a new numeric profile folder, orphaning old saves under the previous number. Move the Title ID folders into the current profile folder and they reappear, exactly as with its Yuzu parent.
