Where Does Twake Store Data on Desktop?
Twake Desktop keeps workspaces cache and settings in Electron app data folders. The Windows, Mac and Linux paths.
Last updated
Twake Desktop is an Electron app, so its data sits in the platform userData folder under its own name. Workspace cache, settings and login sessions share that one tree.
Most day to day files live server side in the Twake console. Local data covers offline cache and preferences. That makes the app data folder small but still worth backing up before reinstalls.
Where Twake stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\Twake
Workspace cache, settings and sessions in one tree. Quit both the app and any background tray process before copying. Server side holds the real message history.
~/Library/Application Support/Twake
Same interior as Windows. Use Go to Folder in Finder, and quit Twake fully before touching anything inside.
~/.config/Twake
Follows XDG config home. Sandbox builds keep their own trees, so check those roots if this folder looks empty.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Twake to a new machine?
Copy the Twake app data folder with the app quit. Cache and settings travel with it. Workspaces sign back in against the console URL, since login tokens do not survive the move alone.
Twake is slow or shows stale content. What do I clear?
Quit Twake and clear the Cache and Code Cache folders inside its app data tree. Those refill on next launch. Keep Preferences and Local Storage, which hold login state and workspace choices.
