Where Does Ubisoft Connect Install Games?
Ubisoft Connect installs games into a games folder under its launcher dir, movable in Downloads settings.
Last updated
Ubisoft Connect installs games beside itself, not in a generic program folder. The default is a games directory inside the launcher tree, changeable per library in the Downloads settings. The client executable sits one level up from that folder.
This post covers installs only. Save games live in a separate savegames tree under the same launcher root, which has its own dedicated post. Moving the library means relocating in settings and letting the client verify, not dragging folders by hand. Steam-bought Ubisoft titles still install through Connect.
Where Ubisoft Connect stores this, by platform
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games
Default per-game install root; move it in Settings, Downloads. Client binary UbisoftConnect.exe sits in the launcher folder above. Savegames tree beside it holds progress separately and is not part of the install.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Ubisoft Connect games to another drive?
Change the install path in Settings, Downloads, then move through the client so manifests update. Manual drags orphan registry entries and force redownloads. Saves in savegames stay untouched by the move.
Where does Ubisoft Connect itself install?
Under Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher with the client exe at its root. Games branch into the games subfolder. Uninstalling the client offers to keep or remove those game folders.
Do Steam Ubisoft games use this folder?
Yes once Connect takes over the install: Steam launches Connect, which places files in its games tree. Saves still land in savegames per store ID. Check both trees when disk hunting across storefronts.
