Where Does V2RayA Store Its Config?
V2RayA keeps its config database and web files in /etc/v2raya on Linux, overridable with an env var.
Last updated
V2RayA stores subscriptions, node lists and preferences in its config directory on Linux. The default is /etc/v2raya. The web UI files sit beside it. Docker images mount the same path as a volume.
The directory is overridable. V2RAYA_CONFIG points elsewhere when the default does not fit, such as custom Docker layouts or OpenWrt. Keep the whole directory together. Splitting the database from the web files breaks the UI.
Where V2RayA stores this, by platform
/etc/v2raya
Subscriptions, node data and preferences. Override with V2RAYA_CONFIG env var. Mount as a volume in Docker. Needs root to write here on most distros.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move the V2RayA config directory?
Set V2RAYA_CONFIG to the directory you want before starting the service. Docker users mount it with -v /etc/v2raya:/etc/v2raya. Restart the service after changing the variable.
V2RayA forgot my nodes after reboot. Why?
Check that the service runs as root and that /etc/v2raya exists and is writable. Reset the password with the reset flag if login fails. Logs usually point at permissions before anything else.
