Where Does Vita3K Store Save Files?
Vita3K saves sit in ux0/user/00/savedata per title ID. How the parent VitaFS path varies by install.
Last updated
Vita3K mirrors the Vita filesystem. Each game's saves live in ux0/user/00/savedata/<TITLE_ID> under the VitaFS root you picked at first launch. The title ID folder (like PCSE00120) holds files such as data0001.bin and SlotParam_0.bin.
The parent path moves by platform and install style: a folder you chose, an AppImage directory, or the Android app data tree. Quit Vita3K before copying a title folder elsewhere. Copy the entire title ID directory, not single files, or the game may ignore the transplant.
Where Vita3K stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\Vita3K\ux0\user\00\savedata
Default VitaFS root on stock installs; portable setups use ux0 next to the binary instead. Each title ID gets its own subfolder. Confirm the live root in Vita3K settings if yours differs.
~/.local/share/Vita3K/ux0/user/00/savedata
AppImage and build installs vary; some use a folder beside the binary. The ux0/user/00/savedata tail is stable. EmuDeck maps it under Emulation/storage/Vita3K/ux0 instead.
~/Library/Application Support/Vita3K/ux0/user/00/savedata
Same relative tail under the Mac VitaFS root. Back up per title ID folder while Vita3K is fully quit, then verify file counts on the copy.
Frequently asked questions
how do i back up a vita3k save
Quit Vita3K, open ux0/user/00/savedata, and copy the whole title ID folder to safe storage. Note the title ID from the game list (right click, Information) so you can match it later.
can i move vita3k saves to another pc
Yes. Install Vita3K on the new machine, run it once, quit, then drop the title ID folders into that install's ux0/user/00/savedata. Filenames are case sensitive on Linux, so preserve exact casing.
