Where Does Wabbajack Store Modlists?
Wabbajack runs from a working folder near drive root with separate download and install folders per modlist. Avoid OS managed folders.

Wabbajack has three locations per modlist, all chosen at install time. The working folder holds the exe. The download location caches archives and can be shared across lists. The install location receives the built setup and must stay exclusive.
Placement rules are strict. Nothing may sit in Windows managed folders, and install folders cannot overlap the game, the app, or each other. Downloads folders are the exception that may be shared to avoid fetching the same archives twice. Keep the working folder on an SSD for install speed.

A modlist install failed halfway. What now?
Rerun the install on the same folders. It resumes where it stopped. Your downloads folder is untouched by updates, only the install folder is wiped.
