Where Are Wadanohara Save Files Located?
Where Wadanohara keeps its RPG Maker 2000 saves on PC, and why Reboot and original must never mix folders.
Last updated
Wadanohara keeps saves as numbered lsd files next to the game itself. The RPG Maker 2000 engine writes that layout for the original and the Reboot alike. A system file shares the folder for global flags.
No Steam release exists, so freeware folders carry every run. Identical filenames across versions punish shared folders with overwrites. Extract each copy into its own path and copy the numbered set for backup. Familiar oaths share the lsd files, so copy each version folder whole. Label each folder by version clearly.

[GameFolder]\Save01.lsd
Freeware folder saves in 2K lsd format with a system file beside them. Reboot and original share names but never folders. No Steam copy exists.
Frequently asked questions
Can Reboot and original Wadanohara share one folder?
Keep each version in its own folder since both write identically named lsd files. Mixing them overwrites one story with the other on next save. Back up each folder separately before replaying either tale.
I cannot open the Wadanohara save menu. What key works?
Press the cancel key inside the game to open the menu where saving lives. Wrapper players sometimes remap that key and hide the menu entirely. Saves still land as lsd files next to the game either way.
