Where Does Yalla Store Rooms and Media?
Yalla keeps rooms and follows in the cloud while voice chat cache and saved clips fill app storage.
Last updated
Yalla runs on an account, so rooms, follows, and wallet state live server-side. The phone accumulates voice chat cache, stickers, and any clips you saved.
Clips you keep land in the gallery like normal media. Everything else in the app's storage is disposable weight that rebuilds with use. Clear cache when space runs low and leave the account alone.
Where Yalla stores this, by platform
Gallery (saved clips); Settings > Apps > Yalla (cache)
Rooms and follows sync from the account. The phone holds cache and saved clips; clear cache in system settings without touching the login.
Photos app (saved clips); in-app cache
Same account-first design. Save keeper clips to Photos, then offload the app to drop cache while preserving saves.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose my follows if I reinstall Yalla?
Follows, rooms, and coins return on login. Only unsaved recordings and cache stay behind, which is why the gallery check comes first.
