Where Does Zero Store Fasting Data?

Zero fasting timers and history on the account with HealthKit sync.

Last updated

Zero keeps fasting timers, history, streaks, weight and journal entries on the account with per device cache and HealthKit and Google Fit bridges. Plus content gates depth, never the log itself.

Timer state syncs mid fast across phone and watch, so starting on one and ending on the other works. Reinstalls restore history on login while an in progress fast needs restarting if the cache died mid window. Export history periodically for records outside the app.

Where Zero stores this, by platform

Android
App-private storage (cache; fasts on your account)

Timers sync on login with Google Fit bridging where enabled. Clearing app data drops cache; history returns. An active fast may need restarting after reinstalls.

iOS
App sandbox (cache; fasts on your account)

Same model on iPhone and Watch with HealthKit sharing. Plus features follow the subscription. Deleting mid fast loses the live timer; history stays.

Frequently asked questions

does Zero history survive reinstalling

Yes on the same account. Sign back in and fasts, streaks and weight return. Only the currently running timer may not survive; restart it and keep history intact.

can I export Zero fasting data

Use the in-app export or HealthKit bridge for outside copies. The account holds the canonical log; exports serve doctors, coaches and personal archives.
