Where Does Zepp Life Store Fitness Data?

Zepp Life Mi bands sync with account history and HealthKit bridges.

Last updated

Zepp Life (the former Mi Fit companion for bands and scales) syncs steps, sleep, heart rate, workouts and weight to the Xiaomi account with per device cache and HealthKit and Google Fit bridges. The band holds days of buffer; the account holds years.

Pairing binds the band to one account at a time, so switching logins needs unpairing first. Reinstalls restore history on sign in while the band refills recent gaps on next sync. Third party bridges read from the phone, never the band directly.

Where Zepp Life stores this, by platform

Android
Account cloud (history) plus app cache and band buffer

Pair bands and scales in-app under one account. Google Fit sync pushes summaries outward. Clearing app data drops cache; history returns on login after band resync.

iOS
Account cloud (same synced history on iPhone)

HealthKit bridge shares workouts and vitals with Apple Health. Deleting the app clears cache only. Unpair before selling the band or the next owner cannot bind it.

Frequently asked questions

how do I move Zepp Life to a new phone

Sign into the same Xiaomi account on the new phone and pair the band (unpair from the old first). History syncs down; recent band buffered days fill in on first sync.

can someone else use my old Mi band

Only after unpairing it from your account in Zepp Life. Paired bands refuse new accounts until released. Factory resetting the band alone is not enough.
