Where Are Assetto Corsa Evo Setups Stored?

Assetto Corsa Evo setups folder on Windows, the Saved Games ACE Car Setups tree per car and track for sharing.

Last updated

Evo stores setups outside the Steam install in Saved Games. Community hubs point at Saved Games/ACE/Car Setups with per car and per track subfolders. Files use the .carsetup extension.

The game creates folders lazily. Until you save once for a given car and track combo, that path may not exist. Downloaded setups then drop into the generated folder and load from the setup screen in game. Hubs trade .carsetup files freely. Note physics versions, since patches obsolete old values regularly each season.

Where Assetto Corsa Evo stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\ACE\Car Setups

Per car and track .carsetup files. Save once in game to generate missing folders. OneDrive can relocate the Documents root.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install a downloaded setup?

Download the .carsetup file, then copy it into the matching car and track folder under Saved Games/ACE/Car Setups. Save any setup once in game first so the game creates the folders. Load it from the setup screen.

The Car Setups folder does not exist. Why?

Open the game, pick the car and track, and save once. The folder appears even if it was missing. Custom install roots move the Documents path, so check OneDrive Documents too.
