Where Does Asustor ADM Store Shared Folders?
Asustor ADM exposes each share under /volume1/<name>. System settings export as .bak; app data sits beside the shares.
Last updated
Asustor ADM mounts every shared folder under /volume1/<name> on single-volume systems (volume number follows your storage pool). SMB, NFS, AFP, and WebDAV all serve from those paths, so SSH, backup jobs, and Docker binds should reference /volume1 directly rather than guessing. The public share plus per-user personal folders exist from initialization.
System configuration exports separately as a .bak file from ADM settings, covering users, groups, network, and services. That file restores settings, not data: shares need their folders copied too. App Central packages keep working data near the shares (Syncthing-style paths vary per app), so check each app's volume before assuming the .bak covers it.

/volume1/<sharename> (ADM)
One folder per share on volume1 (number follows the pool). Defaults: public plus per-user folders. Reference /volume1 paths in NFS mounts, rsync jobs, and container binds. Settings export separately as .bak from ADM.
Frequently asked questions
how do i migrate asustor shares to a new nas
Recreate the share with the exact same name or copy /volume1/<name> with permissions over SSH. Export system settings (.bak) from ADM beforehand. EZ Sync folders and Time Machine targets follow the same share paths.
what are the default asustor shared folders
public plus one personal folder per user. ADM creates public (all users) and a private folder named per account automatically. Media apps and the Web folder follow the same /volume1 scheme when enabled.
