Where Does Battlerite Store Config and Settings?

Battlerite splits local data between Roaming JSONs, a LocalLow folder, and a registry key.

Last updated

Battlerite scatters its local data across three places: JSON files in Roaming, a LocalLow folder under the Stunlock name, and settings in the registry. Champions and ranks live server-side regardless.

Three locations mean partial backups. The JSONs hold most options, the LocalLow tree holds the rest, and the registry key covers leftovers. Copy all three for a complete migration, or accept redoing a few settings screens on the new machine.

Where Battlerite stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\Battlerite

Options as JSON files in Roaming. Copy with the game closed; Steam Cloud syncs about 10 MB of the same data.

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\Battlerite

Overflow data and cache under the Stunlock folder. Migrate alongside the Roaming JSONs for a complete transfer.

Windows
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stunlock Studios\Battlerite

Leftover settings outside the files. Export through regedit for migration; deleting it resets options without touching ranks.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/504370/pfx/

Proton prefix for the Windows build (AppID 504370). All three locations live inside the prefix; progression stays server-side either way.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move my full setup to a new PC?

Copy both folders plus a registry export with the game closed. Settings span three locations, so a single-folder backup restores only part of your setup.
