Where Does Due Process Store Config?
Due Process keeps settings in a registry key while all progression stays on its servers.
Last updated
Due Process is a multiplayer tactical shooter with no local saves. Progression lives server-side, and the only thing on your disk is a registry key with graphics and gameplay options.
That makes backup almost unnecessary and resets trivial. Delete the key and the game rebuilds defaults on next launch. Copy it when migrating machines to skip the options menus, and expect nothing else to transfer because nothing else exists locally.
Where Due Process stores this, by platform
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Giant Enemy Crab\Due Process
Options and settings only; no saves exist locally. Export before registry edits; deleting it resets options without touching rank.
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/753650/pfx/
Proton prefix for the Windows build (AppID 753650). The registry key lives inside the prefix; progression stays server-side either way.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose my rank if I reinstall?
The registry key holds options only. Ranks and unlocks follow the account automatically, so a fresh install loses nothing but your settings screen choices.
