Where Does BooxDrop Put Transferred Files?

BooxDrop browser transfers landing in device storage on Onyx Boox.

Last updated

BooxDrop is the Wi-Fi transfer page on Onyx Boox devices, not a sync service. The computer browser uploads through the local network page and files land in device storage for the system reader and library to pick up.

The PC side keeps nothing: the browser was only the sender. Everything worth keeping now lives on the Boox in its storage folders, browsable over USB MTP as well. Push transfers before firmware updates, since local files are what wipes erase.

Send from the computer browser on the same network; the tablet stores into its readable folders. Move or rename afterward in the on-device file manager. USB MTP shows the same storage from a PC.

Frequently asked questions

where do BooxDrop uploads go on the reader

Into Boox device storage where the library scans, usually the same area USB copies land. Open the file manager or library after sending and move files into your book folders if needed.

does BooxDrop keep a copy on my computer

No. The computer only sent the files; the Boox holds the copies. Keep the originals on the PC separately if they matter, since the transfer is one way.
