Cmder is portable by design and keeps all user state in a config folder inside its own directory. Startup scripts, aliases, task definitions and the ConEmu settings file all live there together. Nothing goes to AppData and nothing touches the registry.
That self containment is the whole backup story. Copying the install folder copies the person, and a fresh ZIP plus the old config folder equals a migrated setup in one move. Keep custom aliases in user_aliases.cmd rather than editing stock files, so updates never overwrite your additions.
