Where Does Eden Emulator Store Saves and Keys?

Eden mirrors the Yuzu layout under its own app data folders, with keys and firmware beside saves.

Last updated

Eden is a Yuzu fork, so its folders mirror Yuzu naming with Eden paths. Saves, NAND system data, and load files sit under the Eden user folder: AppData Roaming Eden on Windows, ~/.local/share/eden on Linux, private app storage on Android. Shader caches sit beside them and can be deleted freely.

Keys and firmware are separate inputs. prod.keys and title.keys go in the keys folder, firmware installs through the app file menu. Dump both from hardware you own. Back up the save folder before nightly updates, since formats still shift.

Where Eden stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Users\[You]\AppData\Roaming\Eden (nand, keys, saves)

Mirrors Yuzu structure. Install firmware from the app, drop prod.keys in the keys folder. Copy the nand user save tree for full backup.

Linux
~/.local/share/eden (nand, keys, saves)

Config beside it in ~/.config/eden. AppImage and native builds share the tree. Keep firmware version matched to the games you play.

Android
Private app storage (nand, keys, saves)

Manage through the app file browser. Scoped storage hides the tree. Export saves per game before wiping data or switching devices.

Frequently asked questions

Where do prod.keys go in Eden?

In the keys folder inside the Eden user directory, installed from your own Switch dump. Firmware goes through Tools Install Firmware. Games refuse to boot without both pieces.

Can I reuse Yuzu saves in Eden?

Often yes, since layouts match. Copy the per title save folders across and test one game first. Keep a backup of both trees until every save loads correctly.
