Where Does ElegooSlicer Store Profiles?

ElegooSlicer user profiles, process presets and projects on Windows and macOS, for the Orca based slicer.

Last updated

ElegooSlicer is an Orca Slicer fork, so user profiles follow the Orca layout under an ElegooSlicer folder. System presets ship with the app. Your downloads and tweaks live in user/default/ with process, filament and machine subfolders.

Plate projects (.3mf) save wherever you put them, commonly Documents. The profile folders below are the ones to back up before reinstalling. Restart the slicer after copying profiles in by hand.

Where ElegooSlicer stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\ElegooSlicer\user\default\process

Copy process .json plus .info pairs into this folder. Filament presets sit under user/default/filament, machines under user/default/machine. Restart after adding files.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/ElegooSlicer/user/default/process

Same user/default layout as Windows. Use cp for .json and .info pairs, then relaunch. DMG installs for Apple Silicon and Intel share this path.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install a downloaded ElegooSlicer profile?

Copy the matching .json and .info files into the user/default/process folder for your OS below, then restart ElegooSlicer. The preset appears in the process dropdown for the right nozzle.

Where is my current plate project?

Save the plate with File > Save Project first. The .3mf project holds plate layout plus profile references. Exported sliced files alone cannot be edited back into a project.
