Where Does eM Client Store Mail?

eM Client stores mail, contacts, calendar and settings in an SQLite database folder with mail_*.dat files inside. The default root sits in Roaming app data on Windows and Application Support on Mac. Individual dat files mean nothing alone.
Use Menu > Backup for versioned zip archives before touching anything. Those land in Documents/EM Client by default with timestamps. To move drives, change the database directory in Settings > General > Storage, close the app, and move the whole folder tree at once.

Paste into Explorer. Backup zips default to Documents\EM Client. Copy the full folder with the app closed, never single mail dat files.

Use Go > Go to Folder in Finder. The Storage settings row shows the live path if you relocated it to an external drive.
