Where Are F1 Manager 2024 Save Files Located?

F1 Manager 2024 saves careers to AppData Local under F1Manager24, with Steam Cloud and a Proton path on Linux.

Last updated

F1 Manager 2024 keeps career and autosave files in %LOCALAPPDATA%\F1Manager24\Saved\SaveGames, as .sav files. It never uses Documents, which is why so many players hunt through the wrong folder first. Settings sit beside the saves in the same Saved tree.

Steam Cloud covers the folder, and the Linux build runs through Proton with the same layout inside its prefix. Back up the whole F1Manager24 folder with the game closed. Single .sav copies work too, but the full folder also preserves your settings.

Where F1 Manager 2024 stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\F1Manager24\Saved\SaveGames

autosave.sav, save*.sav and settings in the same Saved tree. Steam Cloud syncs it. Copy the whole F1Manager24 folder with the game closed for a complete backup.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2591280/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/F1Manager24/Saved/SaveGames

Same Windows layout inside the Proton prefix. Find your Steam library, then mirror the F1Manager24 tree from there when copying saves between machines.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move saves between F1 Manager 2022, 2023 and 2024?

Pick one and stick with it. Each edition writes to its own folder (F1Manager22, F1Manager23, F1Manager24), and a save from a newer game never loads in an older one.

Where do I put the 2025 season mod files?

The 2025 community mods replace files inside the install folder, not the save folder. Back up SaveGames first, since a modded install can mark existing careers unloadable.
