Where Does Facetune Save Edits and Projects?
Facetune exports finished edits to your gallery. Projects stay on the device, untied to your account.
Last updated
Facetune saves finished work to your gallery on export and keeps working projects only on the device. Nothing links to your account, so switching phones carries over zero projects.
Export every keeper before wiping or switching. Uninstalling, resetting, or losing the phone ends recovery options there, since support holds no copies. The gallery copy is the portable artifact and the project is the editable one, so keep both for anything important.
Where Facetune stores this, by platform
Gallery (exports) + in-app projects (device-local)
Download or share each edit to write it to the gallery. Projects remain device bound and account independent. Export before uninstalling or they are gone permanently.
Photos app (exports) + in-app projects (device-local)
Same split as Android. Photos holds finished edits while the app holds re-editable projects. Switching devices moves neither automatically, so export everything first.
Frequently asked questions
Where are my Facetune projects stored?
Only inside the app on that device, separate from your account. Finished edits live in your gallery or Photos after export. Copy irreplaceable edits out before any wipe, since device-local projects have no cloud fallback.
Will signing in restore my Facetune edits on a new phone?
No. Projects never attach to accounts, so a new install starts empty. Gallery copies you exported earlier transfer through normal photo backup. Rebuild anything else from scratch.
