Where Does Flame Store Apps and Bookmarks?

Flame persists apps and bookmarks in db.sqlite inside the mapped app data volume. Back up that folder plus password env.

Last updated

Flame stores its whole state in one SQLite file inside the mapped app data volume. Apps, bookmarks, themes, and settings all live in db.sqlite, with uploaded icons beside it. The password arrives as env, optionally via secrets file.

No file editing is needed day to day since built in editors cover setup. Search providers and weather keys persist in the same database. The data volume is the only backup target. Docker socket mounts enable app auto discovery but carry no state. Theme builder output persists in the same database file.

Where Flame stores this, by platform

/opt/flame/data/db.sqlite

Frequently asked questions

How do I back up Flame?

Copy the host data folder with the container stopped. db.sqlite plus uploaded icons restore fully on any host with the same image.

Can I import browser bookmarks?

Import through the experimental script after backing up db.sqlite. It matches generated icons loosely, so check results before relying on them.
