Where Does the GameSir App Store Profiles?

GameSir keeps controller profiles, macros, and firmware state in the mobile app and on the controller. Update firmware from the phone.

Last updated

GameSir splits configuration between the phone and the pad. Dead zones, remaps, vibration, and macros live in the GameSir app tied to your login, while the active profile also sits on the controller. Xbox-licensed pads get a second editor on PC called GameSir Nexus for deeper remapping.

Firmware flows through the phone app as online updates, with no separate files to hunt down. Tutorials and controller tests sit in the same app, so the support site mostly points back at it. Treat the app account as the backup: logging in on a new phone restores profiles without any file copying.

Where GameSir stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.gamesir.gamesirworld/files

Private app data for profiles and macros. Exact folder names may vary by version. Use the mapping build from the GameSir site for activation, and keep the login so profiles follow you.

iOS
GameSir app storage (Settings > iPhone Storage)

Same account-backed profiles as Android. Firmware updates and macro sharing run from the device page. The iOS container holds nothing to copy by hand.

Frequently asked questions

How do I update GameSir firmware?

Open the GameSir app, connect the controller, and look for the firmware update prompt on the device page. Keep the controller awake and near the phone until it finishes. A failed flash usually recovers by retrying with a full battery on both devices.

Why is button mapping missing from the app?

The Play Store build skips mapping activation. Download the mapping build from the GameSir downloads page instead. That version handles the activation flow the store release omits, which confuses first-time buyers.
