Where Does GlosSI Store Config and Shortcuts?
Where GlosSI keeps shortcut configs and overlay settings on Windows.
Last updated
GlosSI keeps its per-shortcut JSON configs and overlay options under the GlosSI folder in Roaming AppData. GlosSIConfig.exe edits them, and each shortcut you add to Steam points at a GlosSITarget with those settings. The imgui.ini next to them holds the config window layout.
Shortcuts.vdf in your Steam userdata folder is the other half: that is where Steam remembers the Non-Steam entries. Back up both sides if you reinstall Windows, or you will keep the GlosSI configs but lose the Steam entries that launch them.
Where GlosSI stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\GlosSI\
Holds shortcut JSON configs and imgui.ini. Steam entries live separately under Steam\userdata\[ID]\config\shortcuts.vdf. The project is unmaintained and depends on ViGEm and HidHide drivers, so keep the driver installers with your backup.
Frequently asked questions
The GlosSI overlay looks broken after updating. How do I fix it?
Delete imgui.ini in the GlosSI AppData folder and remove then re-add the Steam shortcuts. Overlay and config UI changes between preview builds expect a clean state.
Is GlosSI still maintained?
It still launches existing shortcuts, but active development stopped and the site went offline. Keep a copy of your working binaries and configs. For new setups, check whether a maintained fork or Steam Input alone covers your game first.
