Where Does InShot Save Exports and Drafts?
InShot exports land in your Photos library and gallery, while drafts and cache stay locked inside the app's storage.
Last updated
Finished InShot videos save to your Photos library and an InShot album in the gallery, which is why one export can exist in two places at once. Drafts are the opposite. They live only inside the app's private storage, reachable through the app or the system app settings.
That split decides what is safe to delete. Clearing cache drops previews and temp files and touches nothing else. Deleting a draft is permanent. Verify the export sits in Photos before removing its draft.
Where InShot stores this, by platform
Gallery: InShot album (exports); app storage (drafts)
Exports save to Photos and the gallery. Drafts and imported media cache live in app-private storage: manage via Settings > Apps > InShot > Storage > Clear cache. Clear storage wipes drafts, so confirm exports first.
Photos app (exports); in-app drafts
No in-app cache button on iPhone. Delete finished drafts inside InShot, then use Settings > General > iPhone Storage > InShot > Offload App to reclaim the rest. Saved videos in Photos are unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
How do I free space without losing projects?
Use Clear cache on Android or Offload App on iPhone. Both drop temporary files and keep drafts. Then confirm each finished export exists in Photos and delete its draft. Draft deletion is the big space saver and it cannot be undone.
I saved a video but can't find it. Where is it?
Check the InShot album in your gallery or Photos app first. On Android also confirm InShot has storage permission in system settings, since blocked permission silently fails the save. Restarting the gallery app forces it to rescan new files.
