Where Does Joshuto Store Config and Keymaps?

joshuto reads TOML configs from ~/.config/joshuto, covering display, keys, and previews.

Last updated

joshuto follows XDG paths. Settings split across a few TOML files in ~/.config/joshuto: the main config, keymap, theme, and mimetype handlers. Defaults compile in, so missing files simply mean defaults.

Copy the folder to sync machines. Preview tools and fonts install separately and get referenced by path. That separation keeps the config portable even when distros differ underneath.

Linux
~/.config/joshuto

joshuto.toml, keymap.toml, theme.toml, and mimetype.toml. Create the folder on first custom setup. Whole folder backup restores behavior.
