Where Does Librera Store Settings and Profiles?
Librera keeps settings and profiles in a Librera folder on internal storage, with .zip export and path migration.
Last updated
Librera centers everything on a Librera folder in internal storage holding settings and profiles. Books themselves live wherever you keep them and get scanned into the library. Sync that folder with Drive or a sync app and two devices share progress, bookmarks, and settings.
Migration has its own tooling. Export writes settings, bookmarks, progress, and tags to a .zip you import elsewhere. Migrate rewrites stored file paths when books move, say from internal storage to SD card, without losing progress. Always export before migrating.
Where Librera stores this, by platform
Internal storage/Librera/ (settings and profiles)
Holds all settings and profiles. Books stay in your own folders and are scanned in. Export to .zip for backup, Import to restore, Migrate to rewrite paths after moving books. Sync the folder with Drive or Syncthing across devices.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Librera books to an SD card?
Export a backup first. Move the files, then run Migrate in Librera replacing the old path prefix with the new one, for example /storage/AAAA-AAAA/ to /storage/BBBB-BBBB/. Progress and bookmarks follow because only the stored paths change.
How do I sync Librera between phone and tablet?
Enable the Sync panel with the same Google account on both, or sync the Librera folder itself with a third party tool pointed at the same path. Keep the app setup identical on both sides or sync fights itself.
