Where Does Locket Widget Store Photos and Data?

Locket keeps its working files in scoped storage on Android and its container on iOS, with photos synced to your account.

Last updated

Locket photos sync through your account, so the phone holds a working copy rather than the archive. Both mobile platforms lock that copy inside app private storage, out of reach of file browsers.

Treat the on device folder as cache. If a widget photo matters, save it to your camera roll from inside Locket. Reinstalling clears local data without touching anything your friends can still see.

Where Locket Widget stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.locket.Locket

Visible portion of scoped storage. The private side under /data/data/com.locket.Locket needs root or backup tooling. Confirm the package on the Play Store listing if your file manager shows nothing.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Container path with a per install guid, so navigate via tools, not by typing. Check Settings then iPhone Storage for Locket's size, and export keepsakes through the share sheet.

Frequently asked questions

how do i save locket photos to my camera roll

Open the photo in Locket and share or save it to Photos. The app folder on disk holds working copies, not a gallery, so in app export is the only reliable route.

will reinstalling locket delete my photos

No. Shared photos live on your account and return after login. You lose the local cache and widget arrangement, which takes a minute to set back up.

why is locket taking up so much space

Cached photos and videos accumulate in private storage. Offloading or reinstalling clears them. History stays attached to your account regardless.
