Where Does Logitech G HUB Store Profiles?

G HUB settings.db and profile folders on Windows and Mac, and the quit-first rule for safe backups.

Last updated

Logitech G HUB centers its local state on a settings.db file inside an LGHUB folder. Windows keeps it in local AppData, with supporting profile data in Roaming AppData and ProgramData. macOS keeps the equivalent database under Application Support.

The process matters more than the path. G HUB must be fully quit, not just minimized to the tray, before you copy or restore anything. Restoring while its services run produces a database that looks fine until the next launch, when the running instance overwrites your restore.

Where Logitech G HUB stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\LGHUB

The headline file is settings.db with settings.backup beside it. Also back up %APPDATA%\lghub and %PROGRAMDATA%\LGHUB for complete profiles, macros and lighting. Kill LGHUB.exe, lghub_agent.exe and lghub_updater.exe first.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/lghub

Same settings.db and settings.backup pair. Fully quit with Cmd and Q or the menu bar icon, since closing the window leaves the agent running and holding the database open.

Frequently asked questions

how do i move g hub profiles to a new pc

Quit G HUB completely, copy the LGHUB folder from local AppData to the new machine, and relaunch. Logitech's own cloud backup needs an account, while the folder copy works without one.

g hub loses my settings after reboot

Check that settings.db and settings.backup are not read only, and that G HUB has write permission on its data folders. Logitech documents this exact failure: without write access, a sleep or reboot wipes the session's changes.
