Where Does Magpie Store Scaling Profiles?
Magpie keeps scaling profiles in its app data folder with game presets beside them.
Last updated
Magpie stores upscaling profiles and per-game presets in its application data folder. Each profile holds the scaler, effects chain, and hotkeys for its games.
There is no cloud sync, so the folder is the migration path. Copy it with the tool closed before reinstalling Windows. If the folder layout differs by version, check the app's own pages for the active data path first.
Where Magpie stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Magpie (profiles and presets)
Scaling profiles and per-game presets. No cloud sync exists, so copy this folder for migration. Confirm the active path in-app if layouts differ by version.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move my scaling profiles to a new PC?
Copy the app data folder with Magpie closed. Profiles and presets travel together; a fresh install forgets every game at once.
