Misao Definitive Edition keeps saves as sav files in a Save folder inside its install tree. The WOLF RPG engine writes that layout rather than any RPG Maker numbered file. Freeware and Steam builds share the convention in their own directories.
Proton prefixes mirror the same tree on Linux with no native port beyond Windows. Copy the Save folder whole with the game closed for backup. Leave the engine files around it untouched since the game rebuilds missing ones with defaults. Event flags and library books share the sav files, so copy the set whole.
