Where Does MySudo Store Identities and Backups?
MySudo identities, security keys and backups on Android and iPhone, and the key step most people skip.
Last updated
MySudo (package com.anonyome.mysudo) builds up to 9 Sudos per account, each with phone, email, handle and browser state. Security keys stay only on your device. That design choice makes backups mandatory rather than optional.
Android offers QR transfer plus Recovery Password with Google Drive backup. iOS adds device to device migration and iCloud or iTunes backup. Sudo to Sudo history needs a separate download after moving. Skip the password step and a lost phone means a lost identity.

Keys never leave the device except through your own QR export or encrypted drive backup. Create the Recovery Password under Sudo icon, Settings, Backup and Import Export before wiping anything.
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
Use Quick Start migration, then still set a Recovery Password as backup. Large accounts take minutes to sync. Download Sudo History pulls older messages after the move.
Frequently asked questions
Can support recover my MySudo recovery password?
No. MySudo cannot reset or recover it. Without the password, Google Drive or iCloud backups stay locked. Write it down before you need it.
How do I move MySudo to a new phone?
Tap Backup and Import Export, then Export to Another Device, and scan the new phone QR code. Sudo to Sudo messages do not carry over, so run Download Sudo History after.
